**No longer doing IUI with fresh specimens (only frozen sperm from a cryobank)**
Intracervical Insemination (ICI)
Intracervical insemination is a relatively simple procedure that takes about 5 minutes to perform. You lie on your back on the exam table; the provider inserts a speculum into your vagina. The semen sample is placed at the cervix with a plastic catheter. You then elevate your hips for about 30 minutes after the insemination.
The success rate for intracervical insemination ranges from 5-10% per treatment cycle.
Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)
An intrauterine insemination procedure involves directly placing washed and prepared sperm through the cervix and into the uterus around the time of ovulation. The actual procedure takes the same amount of time as an ICI and has a slightly higher success.
From a few satisfied customers:
Getting pregnant with the midwives at the Alternative Insemination Center of Greater Boston was a breeze. I saw them for my previous pregnancy so when it was time for me to get pregnant again I came back and got pregnant on the second try. I would recommend the midwives (The Midwives of Mount Auburn) and the Alternative Insemination Center of Greater Boston to all my friends when they want to become pregnant. All the staff seem to care about my getting pregnant."
"As a single woman, I was looking for one place to go from conception to birth. The midwives were tremendously supportive throughout and so delighted to help me create my family."
